You are cordially invited to Outbox’s next event on Friday 19th/Saturday 20th October 2012 at between 10.00am - 5.30pm where Patrick Turley, from
Thoughtworks will be flying in from South Africa to deliver an intensive, hands on 2-day workshop on Ruby on Rails.
Those of you who have already attended the RapidFTR code jams will have started to get familiar with the Ruby programming language. This is an opportunity to build upon what you have already learnt. Over the course of the 2 days you will be taken on a journey through the entire end to end process of developing a rails application and its underling architecture and will gain an understanding of what happens under the cover in between you entering a URL into a web browser to receiving the HTML response. On top of all this, we'll be adding an introduction to Test Driven Development too!
Due to the nature of the training there is a limit on the number of people that we can accommodate, and places will be distributed on a first come first served basis. Please respond soon and don't miss out on an opportunity to learn from an experienced practitioner.
